Exploring Fort Mountain

 Cool Springs Overlook

A rocky part of the North Loop Trail.

Showing where we came from and where we went. We started at the Cool Springs Overlook for the second hike of the day. The first hike was all level around the lake, the second not so much. It was steep and rocking in spots.



Pocket Loop Trail at Pigeon Mountain

 Today we hiked the Pocket Loop Trail on Pigeon Mountain. This is a long shot of the waterfall.

You can't see it very well, but they have a handicap deck. It didn't look like it went all the way to the falls, but is a scenic walk nonetheless.

Carter's Lake

 We walked today at Carter's Lake in Chatsworth, Georgia. The part we walked around used to be a quarry. We thought this rock was was interesting.

 Carter's Lake has nice restroom facilities.

Chickamauga Creek Gorge

Today, we hiked at the Chickamauga Creek Gorge. One of the most beautiful places we've seen yet!

Rocks and water. Always a favorite of mine.

First time we've seen rushing water that looked bluish green. Beautiful.

We walked the Bald Rock Trail again this past weekend. With my health problems now, we don't get to do much hiking. I sure do miss it so was really glad to be able to go on a short one.
